Liberty Press had an Intelligent Power Control System (IPCS) installed before I came on as Operations Manager.  Being unfamiliar with this device, I got inside it to understand it.  Without a functioning IPCS system our firm had significant power problems and experienced a low power factor rating.  Without the IPCS online and operational, we lost AC Motors on our air conditioners and AC and DC drives on our presses. Nellson Nutraceutical was experiencing a harmonics problem that was causing our transformers to hum loudly and causing our lighting ballasts and our motors to fail at excessive rates.  After installation of the Intelligent Power Control System, Nellson benefited from reduced

At the U.S. Army Intelligence Data Center in Utah, the IPCS was able to drastically improve the power factor rating from 68% to 99%, saving thousands of dollars a month in utility costs.  After a severe power surge, the IPCS also prevented the loss of critical data and equipment through its effective surge protection capabilities.
